It’s that time of year again, Autodesk University 2013 has rolled back around in no time, and I’m sending out a note from the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas having just landed. It’s surprising how much has happened over the last year in Autodesk around construction. This year there’ll be a huge focus on construction across the keynote speeches, innovation forums and a specific Construction Zone in the main exhibition hall where we’ll have some very special demonstrations going on with our various partners. So many of the construction classes are full it shows how important it is in the process, if you haven’t signed up to a full class, try waiting till it starts to see if there is any last minute no shows and there’s some space at the back.
If you want to know where to find me, I’ll be at the Construction Zone in booth #1928 in the Main Exhibit Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday evening and Wednesday and Thursday lunchtime, pretty much whenever the hall is open. I’ll also be posting regular updates on Twitter as @leeroyb and @Navisworks, and there’ll be lots of updates on the @AutodeskU Twitter and #AU2013 hashtag, so follow them and say hi if you spot me, or fellow bloggers Paul and Pete wandering the corridors.
Don’t forget to download the Autodesk University mobile application, make sure you have your lip balm and eye drops ready (a saviour in the air conditioned hotels), and most of all, have fun, there’s so many knowledgable people happy to share their experiences, I’m sure you’ll have a ball!
And if you’re not there, don’t forget you can stream from the conference too, a full schedule is available here http://autode.sk/AU-Stream
